Our Super-fan then noticed a woman trampled in the chaos and went to her aid, in
doing so he was stripped of the sequin jacket. Michael Jackson, seeing the turmoil,
told his security team to retrieve the jacket.
Billie Jean was possibly the last song played at that evening’s
concert, even though there is another song on the set list. Billie Jean may have originally been the last
song, unless they had a short encore, where they would play “Shake your body to
the ground.”
Our Super-fan, told by security to wait for everyone to leave
the Pontiac Silverdome,
was then escorted backstage where Michael Jackson’s famous black sequin jacket was
returned to him. The signature jacket was slightly torn in the sequins from the
chaos, but is in near perfect condition, still with Michaels’s
makeup
in the sequins. Our Super-fan was told that Michael personally wanted to make sure
he received the jacket.
What a memorable night! In addition to our Super-fan receiving
the black sequin jacket, a member of his group was fortunate enough to
receive Tito Jackson’s shirt,
shown here, ripped off by Michael earlier in the concert.
Michael Jackson set world records for his achievements, and his humanitarian efforts. The 1984 Victory tour was
possibly the most memorable time period for Michael as mentioned by Michael himself. Michael has grown larger than
Elvis
and will continue to do so in a short amount of time. Not only securing numerous
Guinness
Book of World Record positions, Michael developed a patent on his anti-gravity Shoes, used in the Smooth Criminal song
and video. Michael enjoyed a beautiful home retreat he called Neverland Ranch and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on two separate occasions,
first in 1997 with his brothers The Jackson 5 and then again in 2001 for his solo
career. Michael Jackson has donated and aided more charities than any other pop
artist, and has organized the Heal The World Foundation. Michael was a true humanitarian
and an example to everyone, humble and honest, as were his gifts, talents, music
writings, and
lyrical messages.
